The Art Library is a specialist collection with in depth coverage of Fine Art, Architecture, Design, Contemporary Art, Photography and Art and Crafts.

The Reference collection comprises well over 3000 books and catalogues. A special feature is the section of nearly 900 books on South African traditional arts, rock art, photography, general art and architecture. Complementing the Reference collection are the Pamphlet Files on international artists and architects as well as extensive files on local artists, architects and fashion designers
